EG Front Cover Award

All companies that have advertised on the font cover of Estates Gazette in the period July 2011 until end of June 2012 will be considered for this award. Estates Gazette readers will be asked to vote online to pick the winner. A shortlist of the covers that attracted the most support will also be published.

 

EG Outstanding Contribution to Property Award

This award is made annually by the Estates Gazette editorial team. There is no shortlist for what has become one of the most prestigious accolades in the UK property industry.



National Property Adviser of the Year

To demonstrate why you believe your firm should win, judges will want to see clear evidence of the following questions being answered:

  • What have been this team’s key achievements over the past 12 months (e.g. instruction wins, key pieces of work that have come to fruition, senior appointments)?
  • What make this team stand out from others in the market?
  • What steps or new approaches have you taken to help ensure this team’s success in the new business environment
  • What evidence is there of success – financially and in terms of client satisfaction?
  • How many staff do you employ in the relevant area – and how have staffing levels altered?
  • Provide at least two client testimonials and provide client email contact (a sample will be verified)

Young Property Professional of the Year

This award is designed to reward outstanding, emerging talent in the property industry. Entrants must be under the age of 35 at 16 July 2012.

Entrants must demonstrate success beyond their day to day role. This may include assuming extra responsibilities, delivering special projects, or being placed in a senior role much earlier than would normally be expected. Equally it may involve taking on additional responsibilities on representative and / pr charitable organisations in the property industry that do not directly relate to the entrant’s day to day role.

Entries should demonstrate:

  • Initiative
  • Innovation
  • Leadership
  • An ability to add value to the organisation

Readers can put themselves forward or nominate a colleague.

Occupier of the Year

This award celebrates the achievements of occupiers in delivering and developing effective property strategies. These strategies may have delivered better value, improved flexibility or contributed significantly to overall corporate ambitions during the awards year (July 2011 - July 2012).

Judges will want to see clear evidence of success on the part of the organisation’s property team and gain a clear understanding of how it is that that team has made a difference to the business.

The award is open to organisations in any corporate sector – office, retail and industrial – as well as public sector organisations.

Business Launch of the Year

This award celebrates the success of start-up businesses across the entire property industry.

The judges will want to see clear evidence of success – including financial (indicative figures will be accepted), client wins and innovative thinking. They will also want to gain a clear understanding of what it is that makes your new business stand out in this market.

Entrants are encouraged to submit testimonials, as well as information around staffing levels.

Advisers, developers and investors are all eligible. However the business must have been established during the last two years.

Investment Manager of the Year

This award, new in 2012, recognises the achievements of companies managing property funds. Judges will want to see evidence during the awards year (July 2011 - July 2012) of outstanding investment performance, well-timed acquisitions and disposals and innovation through the launch of new funds. As well as traditional property funds, property debt funds are also eligible in this category.

*As in previous years, investment managers will still be eligible to enter the property company of the year categories. However judges in those categories will want to see strong evidence of activity that goes beyond investment management.
