In each of 20 categories we invited online nominations.  The winner of the EG Outstanding contribution to property category will be decided by the Estates Gazette editorial team.

Throughout May readers were invited to nominate their own or any other company to appear on the contender list. From this process an overall nomination list of entrants in each category was generated. The Editor of Estates Gazette decided  which nominated companies made the final contender list. This went to a public vote in June.

Voters were not allowed to vote more than once in a category, only their first vote was counted.

A shortlist was announced on 19 July and the overall winners will be announced at the EG Awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel, 30 September 2008.

Nominations were unrestricted; readers were able to put forward their own company for consideration in any category they felt appropriate.  Please also note that whilst nominations ensured a company would be considered for a place on the EG Awards contender list, this was not guaranteed.  The editor’s decision is final.
